Its not a matter of politics. Its one of faith. Our God, the God of Paul and David is NOT the one that Islam worships. For someone other than Jehovah Jireh to be worshipped in one of our churches is abhorrent to the worship of our God. Allowing other kinds of secular meetings in the basement of the church, but not prayer services to another entity; “Thou shall not have strange gods before me”. Its a free country, but our churches are still privately held.
Its good that the call to prayer did not come from the church, but that was only part of the problem.
Islamists enjoy carrying on about insults to Islam. Christians or Jews are clearly not entitled to be resistant to any kind of adverse abridgments to our faith and its precepts. There are all kinds of buildings in the Duke University campus, Muslim prayers need not take place in a christian church or synagogue.
Thank you Rev. Graham and I suspect that you are just getting warmed up.
