More Jesus, Less Crime

So the election is pretty much over and what have we learned? We have learned that nearly half the country thinks its ok to want and then TAKE what others have worked for.  Not IN ADDITION TO what the others have, but to steal it directly and methodically from them against their will.  In their minds it is not just a right thing, but it is a noble thing.

Therefore we must acknowledge that half the country does not know Jesus. Scary. This is our mission. More Jesus to more people. This is how we are to serve. It is no more right to steal from the so called rich than to steal from the poor. Jesus expects us to help the poor and the persecuted, regularly and willingly He does not expect that WE demand that our neighbors do it. He also expects us to act responsibly with what He has provided.

As with all things, Jesus is the answer. Help us Lord to keep our eyes on you, to see our own flaws so that we can be humbled by them and give them up to your care. Let the world see your charity and mercy in us as a testimony to You.

“We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” –

2 COR 10:5

and

 “Thou shalt not steal.

Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.”

Exodus 20, 15 – 17 , KJV

Smoke and Mirrors: the Goodrich Blimp

April 18, 2018
By

Sometimes genius is revealed in the unexpected.  Having listened to the radio all night for most of my life, I remember listening to Steve Malzberg on WABC on the graveyard shift.  He must have been a very young man, I must have been (achem!) twelve.

After so many years of listening I do not remember a single caller.  Not one,  at least  until a couple of nights ago.  I cannot remember the callers name nor which show he called into. I listen to a string of podcasts at night and thus far finding the clip has been impossible.  It could have been Levin, Red Eye, Chris Plante, Rich Zeoli , Joyce Kaufman, and Rush on the weekends,  so it was on one of those.   I’m leaning toward Rush.

It is important to  give credit to a  a man with great insight, even though his identity remains a mystery.   Also to the host who was wise enough to let him speak.

We  have never seen in our lifetime the forces of the left, media, politicians, actors and/or billionaire loons, join in such a widespread and continuous mission to destroy not only the President of the United States, but while doing it, destroying anyone and everyone else that even vaguely resembles conservative, libertarian or even moderate leadership.

Now back to the blimp….

When our son was four his Dad took him to play miniature golf.  At a particularly difficult hole, our guy said, “Dad! Look its the Goodrich blimp”!  While Dad looked up, our innocent looking little guy quickly deposited his ball in the cup shouting, “A hole in one, A hole in one”!

(Yes we do know its the Goodyear blimp.)

No one  at the course was watching until our son yelled, jumping up and down with his club in hand.  Cheers followed with congratulations from the gallery to our young budding con man.

He put into practice that day an art that our caller understood deeply.   He had exercised the art of diversion.  The caller recognized this art, in every inch, every pound, every liquid ounce of vile leftist tactics against Trump, the people, freedom and our constitution.  These tactics are all just small battles in an effort to cover the horrid war that they are waging behind the curtains.

This war is not being run by the so called deep state, but by the pond scum on the amoeba on the underside of the invisible hand, of barely human political fascist demons who dwell well below the deep state.

We must challenge ourselves to unmask the true mission of the fascist left with their use of targeted chaos.  This is exactly where they do NOT want our intellect and energy to go.  This is all more than about one man or one party.

Hats off to the brilliance of our American mystery radio caller and all citizens who practice critical thinking.   God bless and preserve His United States of America.

N.B.  Anyone seen McConnell lately?  He must be in the woods with Hillary.

A Season of Gratitude

The below is something written primarily for a Christian prayer and support site that I participate in on facebook, All Things Through Christ.   Normally, what is written here is almost always about politics, but this article shall be one of sheer gratitude, earthly and otherwise,  which this season is not entirely off topic.    I’d be remiss therefore, if I did not share this here.   As we thank God for a President who is not at all shy about anything, we remember to thank God for His gifting us with an earthly leader who recognizes  and worships the Divinity of  God.  He does so  loudly, celebrating the birth of our ultimate leader, God the Father, Christ the Lord, His Holy Spirit.  Thank you, Lord!!  In this gift, to You, only to You Lord be the glory!

As we celebrate the coming of Christ in the Incarnation of God through the virgin birth, remember that His coming as human flesh, was a huge part of His sacrifice for the justification of man.

“This journey of Christ began with the Incarnation. Fuller (Unity of the Bible) says that it would help to picture this as if Jesus were ‘descending a winding staircase stretching for a very long distance from the glory of heaven above far down into a world of watched misery. Each downward step in leaving this glory increased the pain Jesus underwent to pay for our sins’. His point is that ‘a good part of the severity of the punishment Jesus suffered for us consisted in coming down this staircase whose length cannot be exaggerated since it spanned the infinite distance between the Creator and the creature’.”

“Though the pain Christ suffered when He lived on earth is well known to us, it too could never be fully comprehended. He experienced the pain of deprivation, the pain of disappointment as those near to Him, failed Him, the pain of rejection and of facing hatred after He had given so much love, and finally the pain of death. Paul says, “He humbled himself and became obedient to death, even death on a cross!” (phil 2:8, biblegateway.com ) “

“That thought is an amazing paradox; The sovereign God of all creation has become obedient to the wages of sin, the last enemy of fallen humanity! But more serious than this was the eternal chasm that was bridged by His actually becoming sin for us. As Paul exclaimed, “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” (2 Cor 5:21 biblegateway.com )

“As He hung on the cross having become sin for us, it seemed as if God the Father whose ‘eyes are too pure to look on evil; cannot tolerate wrong” (Hab 1:13 biblegateway.com) had to forsake His Son. So “Jesus cried out in a loud voice, ‘My God, my God why have you forsaken me?” (matt 27: 46 biblegateway.com ) Martin Luther once pondered this thought alone and at great length while He fasted. He finally arose to say, ‘God forsaken by God?…..Who can understand it’? “

The Supremacy of Christ, Ajith Fernando

All the above gives new perspective into the words of Christ Himself doesn’t it?

“Greater love has no man to give up his life for his friend.” (John 15:13)

Does man have more than his life to give? No, of course not but Jesus does. He gave up more… His Divinity, which is more of course than any man could do, which is what makes His sacrifice the justification for our sins. No one else could do it.

Hallelujah, A King is born who is Christ the Lord. Thank you Jesus.

Thanksgiving, God and Joe American

November 20, 2017

My father-in-law passed away peacefully in his sleep last week.  He was 92 and the original American piece of work.  He had children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He never wanted much, just his own way.

Joseph, was a product of the end of the first world war.  He was second generation Italian on one side, and on another had an ancestor that fought in the Civil War.  Being a history and genealogy junkie, I liked to feed him tidbits of research on his background.  Tidbits that helped strengthened his belief in his family’s foundation and confident in its  accomplishments.   He thought that it was so great that there existed an historical map of his lifetime through these tidbits, a picture of the ship from the 1800s where parts of his family had come back and forth from Italy,  the census from 1910, and his Navy discharge papers that were long lost  after his service in the South Pacific in WWII.

He was a small handsome Italian guy, blonde with blue eyes; just a regular Joe.

His history was very important to him.  It helped him know that he didn’t arrive on this earth alone.  He talked always of his city of Philadelphia, where he was born and raised and where he raised his own.  He talked of how such and such a thing ended up where, who built it and who tore it down.

He was brought to this place by the grace of God through his ancestors from places which were not nearly as prosperous as the one they were headed for.  America.  Relatives worked all means of dirty, skilled and semi-skilled jobs.    He was so proud of them.

In recent years we have been reprimanded,  warned not to be haughty over the success of the American dream and the infrastructure built by average Americans that built the strongest economy in the world.  We were told, “No, you didn’t build that”.

The American dream has almost NOTHING to do with money or entitlement.   It is uniquely American in that any average Joe, who keeps his shoulder to the wheel, and has the drive, can provide a nice living for his family and extended family.  A family history did NOTHING to hold him back.  Because his grandfather was a shoemaker, it didn’t mean he couldn’t be an electrician or a plumber or a doctor or whatever it took to thrive given his determination and abilities.   Class has nothing to do with anything in America.  Only those who wish to hold on to power or wealth and try to keep you poor and dependent will tell you that it does.

Petty Officer Joe American was buried with full ceremony and honors for his rank, with taps and a shot gun salute and the entire nine yards of military tribute.  His rank  not given due to his lineage or royalty as would have been true in Europe.  It was earned.  He was an American, a classic product of the blessed and noble American experiment wrought from the European Enlightenment.

On this Thanksgiving Day, thank God first of course, but then also thank Joe and all of his fellow veterans and family who gave us what we have and shame on those who seek to diminish it.
