McCarty & Arends Rock Freedom Radio

Freedom Radio will be pleased to welcome to our show at long last, Bob McCarty the author of the Amazon Best Seller Three Days in August: A US Army Special Forces Soldier’s Fight for Military Justice .

Learn more about Mr. McCarty and his work by going to his website Bob McCarty Writes.

McCarty’s work also appears frequently at Andrew Breitbart’s,,, as well as PAJAMAS MEDIA. His blogging efforts have also received mention on both Rush Limbaugh, Fox News and others.

Freedom Radio is committed to the release of our solders being wrongly held in Levanworth.

The heartbreak attached to the stories of those soldiers including Lt. Michael Behenna who are wrongly suffering at the hands of the country they vowed to serve, is always fresh and painful and never too far below the surface. These stories never fail to send me over the edge of composure. Thus I confess to hesitating to read the story of Sgt First Class Kelly Anthony Stewart, a man who had a consensual one night stand with a German woman, and was convicted of multiple sexual assault charges on essentially no evidence, no witnesses, only the word of the accuser.

From the dedication page of the Amazon best seller: Three Days in August :

You always hope that someone has got your back.

Join us on Freedom Radio, and call in to 646 478 5613, and let Sgt Stewart and his family know, that we have his back.

Freedom Radio is also honored to have with us, Joel Arends, Captain, USAR, holder of the bronze star and currently the Executive Director of Veterans for a Strong America.

From the Veterans For A Strong America Web Site:

Joel Arends is an attorney and a veteran of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.

In 2003-2005 Joel served as an infantry Platoon Leader in the Army’s 1st Cavalry Division in Baghdad and provided security for Iraqis as they went to the polls for the first free and fair elections held in the last fifty years.

In 2006 he was named by the Secretary of Defense as one of the Fifty Heroes in the Global War on Terror and has been profiled in Investor’s Business Daily

Joel formerly served as the Executive Director of Vets for Freedom.

While there (at VFF), he helped to build the nation’s largest Iraq and Afghanistan veteran’s organization. Over the course of two years Joel and his team successfully established chapters in all 50 states while enlisting the support of over 110,000 members.

As noted above, Arends is now a Captain in the Army Reserve and Executive Director of Veterans for A Strong America.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations is Neither Pro American Nor Pro Islam

Chris Gaubatz went undercover as an intern for the Council on American-Islamic Relations at CAIR’s national office in Washington, D.C. He played his part so well, he found himself working alongside leaders Nihad Awad, Ibrahim Hooper and Corey Saylor. Gaubatz’s father, and investigative project leader P. David Gaubatz used the fruits of his son’s undercover operation to co-author with Paul Sperry the definitive product of the perfect sting operation, Muslim Mafia.

Gaubatz’s six-month covert operation on the Washington-based Council on American-Islamic Relations resulted in a collection of thousands of pages of confidential documents from this rendering of the terrorist group Muslim Brotherhood, which continues to represent itself as a civil rights group.

Muslim Mafia pulls no punches as it presents the fruits of this landmark investigation.

The documents presented disclose the motis operandi of the Muslim Brotherhood in its disguise as CAIR as it works to support international jihad against the United States.
CAIR/Muslem Brotherhood of course was not happy with the work product of the investigative team of Muslim Mafia. Their reaction to exercise lawfare is standard course for supporters of Jihad, who seek to destroy their targets financially. The Gaubatzes were then required to obtain legal representation and could have done no better than to have recruited Daniel Horowitz.

Listen to Freedom Radio’s interview with the world renown first amendment rights and criminal attorney Daniel Horowitz here.

The classic tactic of waging lawfare against those who would exercise their creator-endowed first amendment rights while daring to expose the terrorist nature of the Muslim Brotherhood’s PR branch in the United States, The Council on American-Islamic Relations has fallen into a predictable template.

Just the day before the Freedom Radio interview with David Horowitz, Steven Emerson of the Investigative Project on Terrorism was hard at work exposing the latest attacks of CAIR on an individual who would also dare to pull the mask off the face of the organization.

Excerpt from IPT News November 15, 201l:

…(the) Minnesota chapter attacked them (Bihi and Jamal) over their involvement with a seminar on Somali culture and their communities in America held Thursday in St. Paul….

….One subject in particular incurred CAIR’s wrath. It was entitled “Al Shabaab: An Islmaic Estremist Terrorirism Organization”. Al-Shabaab is an al-Quida affiliate…….

….’These individuals, (Jamal and Bihi) who have no credibility in the Somali community are going to be educating law enforcement’…

….CAIR’s comments about Bihi and Jamal amount to “character assassination” said Tom Lyden, a reporter for Fox 9 News in Minneapolis. The two are targets because they ‘were the first to blow the whistle on the effort to recruit Minnesotan Somalis for terrorism in Somalia,’ ….

Read Steve Emerson’s complete article here.

Listen to Freedom Radio’s interview with Abdirizak Bihi here.

Further, CAIR seems to have insinuated itself and its tactics with members of the US House of Representatives. One need only watch Rep. Pete Kings (R, NY) hearings on terrorism and take note of how a certain few representatives work to discredit the testimony of the Non-CAIR or Non-Muslim Brotherhood affiliated witness, taking up the tactic of those who seek to oppress free speech. Those representatives seek to demean Dr. Zhudi Jasser, President of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy and Abdirizak Bihi of Somali Education and Social Advocacy Center and Melvin Bledsoe, the father of a young college student who became radicalized and killed an American soldier at a recruiting station in Arkansas.

Watch their testimony at the Peter King hearings in March here.

With only the evidence presented above, a pattern of behavior on the part of CAIR to destroy the credibility of those who would expose them, and to further destroy them financially by forcing response to frivolous law suits, is easily recognized.

Prisoner At Large

Being the prisoner of a progressive disease is a daily fight for freedom, a war to never let the disease define you. Multiple Sclerosis means waking up every morning, attempting to get out of bed, and then being jerked to the floor and reminded that you are wearing an invisible ball and chain. Yes there are good days. On the good days, I behave like a sailor on 24 hour leave, but as always, I digress. The quandary is that at any part of the day, without warning, the ball can go from being a 5 pounder to a 100 pounder to a 1000 pounder at any given moment. The ball can also change places, it can be attached to your leg, your arms, your brain, your lips or all at the same time.

Its been 10 years since the diagnosis.

Its been 10 years since September 11, 2001.

The ball’s minimum weight is rarely 5 pounds any more, its more like 50. Yes it is a burden that can overcome your spirit and at times it wins. I confess to moments of weakness.

It is during one of those times of weakness that I received this letter. I received this letter from a young handsome man in prison who will be there for what most of us would consider the prime of his life. It is a letter from Michael Behenna, a prisoner at Leavenworth, convicted of murdering a known Al Queda killer, while serving in the military in the Middle East. He serves us as a result of the September 11 attacks and multiple terrorist attacks against innocent people. He serves us.

From Michael’s letter:

King Solomon had a dream in which God came to him and said “Ask me anything and I will give it to you.” King Solomon answered “I am but a little child.  I know not how to go out or to come in, but I am a servant of thy people.  Give me, therefore, an understanding heart that I may judge thy people wisely and fairly.”  And God said “Because you did not ask for the lives of your enemies, did not ask for longevity, did not ask for riches, because you asked only for this one thing…understanding, I will give you understanding.  There will be none wiser than you on this earth.”

So each day I strive to not focus on the bad, but to find the good.  I immerse myself in books that take me a thousand miles from this place of concrete and steel.  I push forward in my quest of self-discovery and self-observation seeking wisdom to call my own.   From the small window in my prison cell I can see a cornfield where a farmer toils in the hot summer air and I find myself longing to walk that field and feel the earth beneath my feet and the sun against my face.  My hopes are to someday have my own land upon which I will raise cattle and spend all my waking hours in that warm sun upon my horse whose name only I will know.

Gratitude is not something one would expect to find behind these walls, but it is here where I found it…waiting to teach me what really matters in this life.  And while I sleep she gently reminds me how truly blessed my life is.

Read entire letter here

So this morning, waking up with my friend the ball and chain, I admit to being discouraged and vulnerable. That is until I read Michael’s letter.

A letter froma man in prison cheers ME up?

We all have our prisons, some are inflicted upon us, but many are built by our own hand, as is occasionally mine. Pray for Michael Behenna. Pray that although his prison may continue to hold his body, his spirit will remain free.

Twelve Step Program for Bureaucrat Spending Addiction

Dear members of the US House of Representatives;

This is how many Americans would prefer that you begin the process of ending the practices associated with what will heartofore be known as your Bureaucrat Spending Addiction and beginning the process of cutting the reckless spending of our hard earned tax dollars:

1. Put the last existing federal budget on a searchable Excel spread sheet.

2. Use search terms like “museum, poetry, sexual habits, awareness, bike paths, parks , outreach, recreation, entertainment, fairness” to highlight line items that include such terms.

3. Once search is complete, select all, hit delete button.

4. Search all federal government employees salary budgets and expense accounts and reduce by budgets by 24%, which is the percentage of GDP that is national debt. Note that this same procedure should be followed in each fiscal year.

5. Once search is complete, select all, hit apply.

6. Search for any item that includes the terms “jobs” or “retraining”.

7. Once search is complete, select all, hit delete button.

8. Search again for the term “department”

9. Within that department search, highlight all departments that have no relation to national security and defense or tax collection and Social Security or Medicare maintenance, paying special attention to see that the Oshamnocare is highlighted.

10. Once search is complete, select all, hit delete button.

11. Search for all countries on terrorist watch list receiving foreign aid.

12. Once search is complete, select all, hit delete button.

These 12 steps should be repeated every year until our national debt is beneath 4% and be used every year thereafter to keep it there. These steps are only a good start, and by no means preclude any further cuts or future cuts in the federal budget.

My office is always open.

Freedom Radio welcomes back to our show retired USMC Nick Popaditch, Sunday June 19th at 8 pm EST. Nick was medically retired from the Marines in 2005 at the rank of Gunnery Sergeant from wounds sustained in combat in the battle of Fallujah.

Also join us this Sunday as the Freedom Radio Team presents a
straightforward analysis of Operation Fast & Furious. If you think this ain’t big, think Watergate with AK47s.
The Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms’ mission is to interdict weapons to prevent the people who would commit crimes from being well armed.  A fatally flawed plan, exercised under the Phoenix branch of the ATF, named “Fast & Furious” may well have been activated for other purposes, without regard for human life.

This is why Congressional oversight of this operation has begun with well disciplined hearings being conducted with Darrell Issa at the helm. Here is their report.
“Fast & Furious” was fatally flawed from its inception if indeed its goal as stated was the taking down of drug cartels. If the plan was to take down them down by building a federal case, it WAS NOT by the use of the always necessary chain of custody procedures to roll up all the recipients of the weapons. As such, the stated goal was impossible. Everyone knows the Mexican cartels buy weapons for criminal purposes; allowing weapons to “walk” necessarily involved these specific F & F weapons in criminal acts of bloodshed and murder.

Yet the program went on, even as its proponents knew that the last time the weapons would be seen as part of evidence in any case would be at a crime scene where there would be blood and dead bodies.

Be there Sunday, Freedom Radio 8 pm EST as we break it down into clear points as no one else has done
and be ready to rock and roll.

Next Week: Jedediah Bila, Rep. Scott Rigell, (R, VA) and Col. Frank Ryan USMC retired.
