Aristocracy Fiddles While America Burns

Larry Schweikart’s latest book, “What Would the Founders Say”, mentions a little something called UN Agenda 21. You will most likely remember Mr. Schweikart’s best seller “A Patriots History of The United States”. If you don’t have it, demand it. Reading his new book in preparation for Sunday’s Freedom Radio, I was floored by what has heretofore been completely off my radar.

Agenda 21 can be described as the UN plan for your “sustainable” community. In the book, Mr. Schweikart does not describe it as the inspiration for the protocols or standard operating procedures of the Obama administration and his czars, but I must.

Maurice Strong, a life long committed marxist, was the lead speaker at a conference in Rio in 1992 where he presented the plan which would become UN agenda 21. Strong had been vice-president of Dome Petroleum , first executive director of the UN Environmental Programme, founder of Planetary Citizens, director of the World Future Society, founder and co-chair of the World Economic Forum, member of the Club of Rome, trustee of the Rockefeller Foundation and Aspen Institute, and member of the UN Commission on Global Governance and UN Undersecretary. Strong presented it and the Clinton administration signed on. The US has been in on the joke ever since. Sadly, we are the object of the joke.

According to Local Agenda 21:

This global contract binds governments around the world to the UN plan for changing the ways we live, eat, learn, and communicate – all under the noble banner of saving the earth. Its regulations would severely limit water, electricity, and transportation – even deny human access to our most treasured wilderness areas. If implemented, it would manage and monitor all lands and people. No one would be free from the watchful eye of the new global tracking and information system.

A review of the Local Agenda 21 home page is vital to understanding what our leadership has in mind for us. Again from Local Agenda 21:

[11-6-09] Democrats Bury ‘Community Transformation’ Plans in Health Care Bill: “In the bill, the Affordable Health Choices Act, community transformation plans would be carried out using federal money and be overseen by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The CDC would distribute the money as well as coordinate the various state, local, and ‘community’ entities responsible for carrying out the plans.
“…both state and local governments are eligible for the grants, as are ‘national networks of community-based organizations’…. The transformation plans must include ‘activities’ for all ages, beginning in public schools, which focus on eating healthy food, adequate amounts of physical activity….’Every time our friends on the other side start talking about community organizations, we usually think ACORN…

Indeed Mr. Schweikart states in, “What Would the Founders Say

What the Founders saw as the major threat was not man’s destruction of the environment, for both other men and the market would right that in time but a runaway government obsessed with its own godlike powers intruding into everyday activities.
Certainly the Environmental Protection Agency crossed that line long ago. More ominous now though, is the international threat introduced in the Untied Nations’ “Agenda 21,” which promotes “sustainable development.” This is a code phrase for a lifestyle that would put the world back into pre-Egyptian levels of civilization. Under the rubric of Agenda 21, the secretary generals of the UN’s Rio Earth Summit stated that American middle-class lifestyles were “unsustainable” as were high meat intake, plowing of soil, single family homes – virtually anything associated with private property

Sound familiar? Sound “transformational”?

Listen to what Larry Schweikart has to say about Agenda 21 here.

If like me, this is the first you are hearing about Agenda 21, serve your nation and search the term “Agenda 21” and learn about how our presidents and their administrations have systematically sold out this nation in favor of Maurice Strong’s vision of global governance and a return to ancient and disease ridden cultures. Our men and women in uniform fight and die for our freedom in the light of day, while the ruling elites pilfer it away in back rooms and secret meetings.

True Justice and Real Peace

Osama Bin Ladin’s death brought me no joy. It was bittersweet but for me, not a moment for celebration. Yes, I am uber- glad he’s dead. Its called justice. But his death follows the unnecessary misery of thousands. To my perhaps flawed thinking, I cannot separate the two.

In his last moments on this earth, Osama Bin Laden did what Americans knew he would do given the opportunity and given his track record of murdering the innocent; He grabbed his wife and stuck her in the line of fire to save his own skin. Like other brands of socialism and fascism, the so called sacrifices of socialism and fascism are for thee and not for me.

Bin Laden’s brand of Islamofascism, not unlike HItlers brand of socialism, encouraged malleable minds to die for the “faith”, while the head of the snake would do whatever it took to save his sorry existence.

Like pseudo-generals throughout history, he bravely led from behind. He spoke about the joy of willingly dying for ones beliefs and the desirability of martyrdom. He spoke of the rewards in heaven for such willingness. He spoke of heroics with which the killing of innocents should be performed without question.

He was no general, no leader, no hero, no martyr.

It is fitting that Osama should die as he lived, a coward, a hypocrite and a liar. He set an example with the manner with which we should NOT want to die. He also set a perfect example of how not to live. The cowardice and evil manner of his reluctant death demonstrates the falsehood and duplicity of his Islamofascism.

Reflection on the inability of some of us to feel celebratory concerning Bin Laden’s death, takes me to a life that was gratefully the antithesis of his.

The faith brought to us by Jesus Christ lives on and thrives because He spoke of the difficulties of living with the parameters of His faith; “Love God and love your neighbor as yourself for the love of God.” He indeed ordered Peter to put down his sword and allow an angry crowd to take Him away to His death. He walked himself to His cross and His own painful and slow death, knowing that at any moment He could have saved himself. He forgave sins for the simple act of regret and sorrow for their commitment.

He did all this for the example He would set, about how to live ones life, how to forgive each others’ many weaknesses and to do all these things as he in his humanity did them. He forgave prostitutes. He forgave thieves. He forgave his betraying weak friends and He forgave his killers.

He did all these things so that we could see a glimpse of the glory of God; His faithfulness and God’s love of his creation, mankind. We are flawed, we are weak, we are imperfect, just the way God made us. We follow Christ, not simply because of the rewards in heaven, but for the joy of the love of God.

You don’t have to be a Christian to appreciate the difference.

Adding Injury to Insult

The late Geraldine Ferraro is being lauded as a figure who blazed a trail for women in American politics. That sentiment has a nugget of truth to it, but only a nugget. This article is not focused on diminishing the dead who are clearly not here to defend themselves. Quite the opposite. This article attempts to put things into perspective. The beatification of Geraldine Ferraro is shamelessly being used by desperate Democrats to say, “Hey, American women! Remember us? We’re the party that brought you to the table!”. It is a disgrace. It is a miniature version of the Paul Wellstone funeral.

The people most responsible for the strong foundation of the rights of American women are those who risk everything for all the people of our country. In this lies true courage and fearless trailblazing. Ask women like Governor Sarah Palin, Bev Perlson, Vicki Behenna and other mothers of soldiers who the best of us are.

Trailblazing is not the dharma of politicians. Leaders lead. Politicians follow. Lets look at the Democrat saviors of women’s rights and the equally weak kneed Republicans as well, to see what behavior they are endorsing at this writing, if only bydefault.

You simply cannot make this stuff up; While we are engaged in at least three theaters of war, female soldiers are being pressured to wear hijabs on the battlefield.

H/t to Joyce Kaufman of 850 WFTL in Ft. Lauderdale.

Caroline May of the Daily Caller reports:

“Retired Col. Martha McSally, whose grievance about being forced to wear the Muslim abaya while stationed in Saudi Arabia in the 1990s resulted in 2002 legislation outlawing the practice of making female soldiers wear Muslim religious garb in Saudi Arabia, told The Daily Caller that the sanctity of the uniform should not be sullied with outside accessories like the hijab.

‘Another thing that makes this inappropriate is that they are wearing it with their uniform,” she said. “All the services have several-hundred-page regulations about what is appropriate and is not appropriate to wear with the uniform, and we have very strict guidelines … You are representing the United States government. You are wearing the U.S. military uniform, and it confuses what you are representing when you add this to the uniform.’

In mid-February one of the sponsors of the 2002 legislation that outlawed the practice of making female soldiers in Saudi Arabia wear the abaya, Rhode Island Democratic Rep. James Langevin, wrote a letter to Defense Secretary Robert Gates requesting more information about soldiers in headscarves.

‘I understand the mission in Afghanistan is drastically different than the situation our female troops faced in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 10 years ago,’ Langevin wrote. ‘However I am interested to know the precise policies or operating instructions that are currently being employed with regard to the garments worn by female service members in Afghanistan and other Muslim nations.’
Langevin continues to wait for a response.’ “

It is a violation of the uniform code and an imposition of dhimminitude on America’s bravest. “Next we’ll be asking the male soldiers to grow untrimmed beards in violation of field hygiene standards”, stated Tim Sumner of 911 Families for a Safe and Strong America.

Note the picture at the Daily Caller of the women who are wearing hijabs, but not field helmets. Oh, hooray for the rights of women to be shot in the head by the enemy! Here we have adding injury to insult, if not death.

The point solidified by the recent work of Diana West who writes,

“ The way Islam treats women stinks = verbal disrespect for Islam. The verses of the Qur’an that call for jihad against infidels are heinous = insulting the Qur’an. Tut, tut: ISAF, veritable mouthpiece of the coming caliphate, deems such talk “inappropriate” and “blasphemy” — which just might win them an extra pillow at the foot of the caliph’s throne.”

Read the complete article here.

These policies of submission oppress and endanger our American female soldiers while subjugating all of our soldiers and by extention further diminish thuman beings everywhere.

Call your representative and senator today and let them know what you think of the conditions under which they are asking our bravest to fight.

Wishing Geraldine Ferraro were alive today, I suspect that as a proud feminist, she would not ask a daughter or son of hers to serve in any capacity in a diminished status. If anything, that would be what made her great.
